Instructions:

  1. Start by brewing the espresso or coffee and set it aside to cool completely. Take a bowl and mix the mascarpone and powdered sugar in it until a smooth mixture forms. In a separate container, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. You can optionally use a whipped cream stabilizer to make the cream more firm. Then, gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  2. Pour the amaretto into the cooled espresso and mix them together. Briefly dip the ladyfingers into this mixture and arrange them side by side in a baking dish. Ensure that the bottom is evenly covered with the ladyfingers.
  3. Evenly spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers and smooth the surface.
  4. Dip the remaining ladyfingers again in the espresso and place them as a second layer over the mascarpone cream.
  5. Apply a second layer of mascarpone cream over the second layer of ladyfingers, and smooth it once more.
  6. Place the eggless tiramisu in the refrigerator and let it set for at least 4 hours. Ideally, allow it to chill overnight to let the flavors meld. Before serving, sprinkle a thin layer of cocoa powder over the top of the tiramisu.

Tip:

If you prefer an alcohol-free version, you can replace the amaretto with almond syrup or omit it entirely.
